What kind of fabric for curtain?
I’m trying to decorate my living room and I broke down and bought some blinds for the windows but I want fabric for the huge slider doors. What kind of fabric is good for keeping out sun, will hold up well, washable, sort of light weight, and is easy to sew (my mother-in-law will do this not me!) I want it to look nice too!
No matter which fabric you pick, if it will be exposed to the sun without a lining fabric it will fade. I would price out the fabric and a lining fabric, then check out JC Penney. Something ready-made may work, and they carry lined panels as well.
You could also try some of the outdoor fabrics. They have really come a long way recently. Look at some fabric stores online for that. (try “discount fabric” in the search engine).
